Celebrating Our Past, Inspiring Our Future
Since 1852, St. Michael in Old Town has
held a unique place in Chicago. We are mindful of and thankful for
multiple blessings that have enriched our life of faith over the last
158 years. By embracing St. Michael’s comprehensive campaign,
Celebrating Our Past, Inspiring Our Future, our parish community
seeks to renew its commitment to become an ever more vibrant pastoral
center in the diverse Old Town neighborhood. We intend to realize the
promise of this vision by challenging ourselves in four key areas:
faith, outreach, education and inspiration. We are also committing
ourselves to repair and restore our historic church to reflect the
vibrancy of this vision and ensure that St. Michael endures as an
inspiring and comforting symbol of God’s presence for years to come.
Past generations have cared for and passed on to us this legacy of faith that has inspired Chicagoans, and many far beyond, for many generations. It is our noble duty to assure that this legacy continues to enrich future generations. Whatever you prayerfully decide to contribute, know that it will make a difference in the lives of others! |
Why I Pledge---
Toni & Dave Dunning
From the moment we moved into the Old Town neighborhood, we were attracted to St. Mike's, first by the beautiful structure, then by it magnificent architecture, and finally by its history. But what keeps us there is the Redemptorist order and the feeling of community and faith they bring to us. It is our pleasure to support the comprehensive campaign and do what we can to ensure generations to come can enjoy it and feel the sense belonging and friendship we've been so lucky to be part of.
