2010 Stewardship Program

�God will always make you rich enough to be generous at all times so that many will thank God for your gifts.� (2 Corinthians 9:11)

This is the year of action. It is time to put into action the things we have been discussing this year. It is time to take St. Michael�s to the next level.

Many of us have become more than spectators this year by getting involved with planning St. Michael�s future. We�ve all had a very real opportunity to hear what others are saying and to make our own voice heard.

Don�t let it stop there. The next step is making a difference to the parish.  St. Michael�s offers many different ways to put our ideas into practice. There are the more well known areas such as the parish councils and commissions. These are represented in other parts of this web site. But beyond those, you will find events and happenings that require only a small commitment on your part.

Sing carols at Christmas. Sign up for a bible study program. Tutor students at Blessed Sacrament Youth Center.  Host the Hospitality Table. Help with the baby bottle drive or collect food and gifts at the holidays. Become a Eucharistic minister or a lector or both. Lead tours of the church.

You won�t regret the time you spend with St. Michael�s. In addition to the warmth that comes from participating, you�ll meet new friends along the way. Some of them will even tell you how it was way back when at St. Michael�s. And after a little while, you will get a glimpse of how things get done at our parish and you�ll begin to add your own touch to the process.

Your financial support is also essential to allow us to maintain our beautiful church and grounds, and to provide the services and programs that make St. Michael�s the warm and welcoming community that it is.

As you contemplate your gifts of time, talent and treasure, please keep in mind all that the founders and past parishioners did to provide us with the wonderful church we now enjoy.  It is our sacred trust to care for this church and to keep our faith community vibrant, and to pass them on to the next generations in the way we have received them from our ancestors.
