Parishioners at St. Michael’s enjoy a vibrant parish life, with opportunities to serve the community, participate in various ways. Opportunities to get involved in various aspects of the parish flow from four commissions of volunteers that organize the activities.

 

Spiritual Life Commission


The Spiritual Life Commission offers opportunities for Liturgical Ministry including greeters, lectors, Eucharistic and music ministers to name a few. Spiritual enrichment experiences include Spiritual Direction and faith sharing groups. Being a Redemptorist parish, we also offer special services enhancing our dedication to Our Mother of Perpetual Help.

Parish Life Commission


The Parish Life Commission organizes and implements special activities including the Parishioner Welcome Dinners, Trivia Nights, Visits with Santa, the Mothers’ Club, Knights of Columbus, the Book Club and more. The annual major fundraiser, St. Michael’s Harvest Moon Party is developed through this commission.

Human Concerns Commission


Human Concerns is focused on all the social outreach efforts of the parish. There are various collections for special needs such as school supplies, Christmas gifts, food and the preparation of meals for the poor. This is the area of the parish life where Pro-Life, the promotion of human life from conception until natural death, are promoted; particularly through Our Mother of Perpetual Help and support for neighboring agencies serving the needs of care providers.

Catholic Faith Formation


Catholic Faith Formation centers on Religious Education for children (K-8), the RCIA or the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, and Baptism Preparation. This group also offers periodic adult continuing education such as Theology on Tap, Bible Studies, and Redemptorist Spirituality.
